Pisa
We will greet you at the Port of Livorno at 8.30 a.m. and in 35 short minutes you will have the chance to admire one of the world’s most famous and cherished landmarks – The Leaning Tower of Pisa, which took over 177 years to build and has been leaning since construction began in 1173. Don’t let the fame of the Tower distract you from the overall beauty of the other architectural marvels in the Square – Piazza dei Miracoli is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is also home to the city’s other two main attractions, the Cathedral and the Baptistery.
Lucca
Your adventure will continue on to Lucca, a charming little Tuscan town surrounded by almost perfectly preserved Renaissance-era city walls, the perfect place to experience superb dining, fun shopping, and a relaxing walk or bike ride. The city features some of the finest examples of medieval architecture, including many towers and nearly one hundred churches.
Your tour concludes with a walk back to your minivan and a scenic return to Livorno and your ship.
